Restoring the Environment
Because we understand the importance of protecting our planet, its resources, and its people, the team at Green Joe’s are devoted to doing what we can to ensure a safe, healthy future for all of us, everywhere.
- We buy shade-grown or Rainforest Alliance coffees whenever
possible. These protect the land from deforestation and unnecessary use
of pesticides.
- We purchase offsets to the carbon dioxide we do use. This money goes toward building renewable energy projects such as wind and methane power.
- We use green power. Through NC GreenPower, we are able to purchase energy supplemented with renewable energy sources including sunlight, wind, and organic matter.
- We use compact fluorescent light bulbs. These bulbs use 60% less energy and save hundreds of pounds of carbon dioxide each year.
- Our employees take many of these same measures. Green Joe's was created by people who truly appreciate that the earth is ripe with delicate balances. We are individually committed to incorporating new technology as well as taking simple steps to restore the rich resources of our planet.
